3 Great Things About Christmas

With Christmas fast approaching, this can be
one of the most exciting times of the year.
It's an especially fun time of year for kids,
and the young at heart. We've been talking
to family and friends and here are 3 of the
most common 'greatest things about
Christmas'.

Christmas Trees
Christmas trees are an iconic symbol of the season.
Nothing can be more exciting and delightful
as picking out a tree, and then decorating it!
The decorations make the whole experience
come together. A Christmas tree brightens up anyone's day.

Purchasing an artificial tree for use at this time
of year is a great alternative to getting a cut
tree. Today's artificial trees are far superior
to their counterparts of yesteryear. Depending
on where you live, the supply and demand
of cut trees can make them quite expensive.
You'll also have to dispose of the cut
trees after the season is over. Artificial
trees can help in both of these situations,
and of course you don't have to use them
every year.

The important part is that the whole
experience of the Christmas tree
can be one of the most magical
parts of the holiday.

Snow, or the chance of it!
Are you dreaming of a white Christmas? For most
Canadians, there will be no shortage of snow.
For some, there's always the chance it will
snow. Snow is another one of those magical
elements of the Christmas season.
This is a great time of the year to make special
memories with your family. Try packing up a light
picnic of cookies and hot cocoa and heading out
to the local hill for some sledding or tubing.
Also, don't forget to check online for local
events. For example, in Vancouver there's
a Christmas Train in Stanley Park - if
you're in Vancouver, you must check
this out!

Presents
Not only getting them, but giving them
too! Think about how meaningful this
act of giving can be. It is probably
one of the most rewarding things to
experience when you see the delight
someone has opening a gift you've
given them. It really doesn't
matter the size, or how much
the gift cost - it's the love
and thoughtfulness that went
into giving it that counts!
