Healthy Habits to
Fight the Flu
A recent outbreak of a flu-like virus has been causing alarm around the world. So, we wanted to share some common sense tips and healthy habits. Follow these best practices to help fight against the spread of viruses, colds and overall nasty bugs. Stay at home when you are sick.
If at all possible, stay at home. Don’t go into the office, and keep the kids home from school. This is probably one of the single most effective things you can do to help prevent spreading your illness to others.
Cover your mouth and nose.
It might seem obvious, but pay attention next
time you’re out in public. Cover your mouth and
nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
Alternatively, you can cough or sneeze into the
crook of your elbow.
Clean your hands.
Last, but not least, wash your hands. Washing
your hands can help protect you from germs.
Soap and water are the best way to wash your
hands, but if not available, use an
alcohol-based hand rub.
A dash of common sense, and pinch of vigilance and you can avoid getting sick, or getting others sick.
