Summer Vacation Tips
With the kids out of school, it's time for summer vacation. Whether you've planned a trip to Disneyworld, you're going camping in Beautiful British Columbia, or visiting somewhere close to home, here are some useful summer vacation tips.
Be ready for any type of weather. Make sure to pack rain gear and cool weather clothing.
Be prepared for an emergency and pack a basic emergency kit in your vehicle. Things to include: jumper cables, flashlight with new batteries, first aid kit, and your roadside assistance card.
Be sure to pack ample sun protection – it's an absolute necessity. Bring more than enough sunscreen for the whole family, and don't forget about sunglasses and sun hats.
Keep in mind that when you're selecting a sunscreen for the family, you want to have a couple choices available. You want basic sun screen that you can use daily and another that is very water resistant.
If the family is active in the water, you want to re-apply
the sunscreen every 80 minutes for sunscreen labeled
"very water resistant" and every 40 minutes if the label
reads "water resistant".
Summer vacations can be rich with memory making opportunities and so we wish you and your family a wonderful August!
