Here are some good steps that you can take to help keep the common cold at bay:
Wash your hands frequently, using hot water and soap. Our hands are one of the main ways that viruses spread.
Stay healthy and keep your immune system strong. The immune system is your body's first line of defense. There are a couple of things you can do to help your immune system:
- Take daily doses of vitamin C, Zinc, and Echinacea.
- Exercise regularly.
Here are some general tips to help fight off a cold:
- Get plenty of rest.
- Stay at home if possible.
- Drink lots of fluids.
- Spices like cayenne pepper in chicken soup help to keep nasal passages working.
- Use a humidifier to moisten the nasal passage and throat.
