Holiday Shopping Tips
For some families, the holiday shopping season is hectic and stressful. Here are some general tips and guidelines to follow to help not only eliminate stress but save you some money too!
This is probably the most important tip of them all. Make a list. Know who you are buying for and what you are buying them. This takes out the guess work and can help you make a budget to stick to.
As a general rule of thumb, start early. This will single-handedly eliminate stress. If you have a list and you give yourself plenty of time, you won't feel like it's a mad dash.
When you're making the list you should also do some online research. Include the stores or websites you know will have what you're looking for. To save a few extra dollars, also do some comparison shopping to find the best deals. Doing research might also lead you to other gift ideas.
The holiday season is all about celebrating your family, relaxing and enjoying each other. It doesn't have to be stressful or break the bank. Take some time to prepare and you'll enjoy the whole experience a lot more.
Holiday Cranberry Punch
Here is a simple and tasty punch recipe that is great for holiday celebrations and entertaining riends and family.
The things you need:
1 (64 ounce) bottle cranberry juice
1 cup orange juice (low acid is best)
2 cups lemon-lime flavored soda
sugar
1 orange, sliced
1 lime, sliced
How it’s made:
1 place slices of orange and lime in bottom of large
punch bowl.
2 Mix all punch ingredients together, pour on top of
the orange slices.
3 Serve ice cold.
TIP: To prevent the punch from being watered down,
make your ice cubes with punch instead of water.
The punch will stay cold without being watery.
